This list is not exhaustive. Customs regulations vary by country and change frequently. If in doubt about a specific item, consult the team before dispatch — an incorrect declaration can result in a hold, fine, or return of the cargo.
Prohibited — never accepted
- —Explosives, ammunition, and their components
- —Firearms and firearm parts
- —Illegal narcotics and psychotropic substances
- —Biological material at biosafety level 3 or 4 (BSL-3/BSL-4)
- —Nuclear and radioactive material outside IAEA parameters
- —Counterfeit or pirated goods
- —Goods subject to international economic sanctions
- —Hazardous waste for disposal (Class 9 — waste)
- —Live animals, except under approved CITES documentation handled case by case
Restricted — accepted only with prior documentation
- —Temperature-sensitive perishables (requires appropriate packaging and prior approval)
- —Pharmaceutical products and medicines subject to regulatory control at destination
- —Communication and transmission equipment (may require type approval at destination)
- —Cosmetics and beauty products subject to licensing at destination
- —Dangerous goods (DG) per IATA DGR / IMDG — requires shipper's declaration and prior approval
- —Works of art and cultural property (may require export authorisation from origin country)
- —Alcoholic beverages — restrictions vary by destination country
- —Tobacco and tobacco products — restrictions vary by destination country
- —Cash, precious metals, and precious stones (requires specific customs declaration)
- —Dual-use equipment (civil and military) — subject to export controls
